Piano Volunteer - Bexley Wing, St James's
Are you a talented pianist with the ability to play in public? Then this role could be for you!
Leeds Hospitals Charity Piano Volunteers play in the public areas of our hospitals to a wide-ranging audience. We have a grand piano based in our Bexley Cancer Centre at St James's, and a baby grand piano in the Clarendon Wing at Leeds General Infirmary. We are currently recruiting volunteers to play the piano in the Bexley Wing.
The music that Piano Volunteers play creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere for patients awaiting treatment, families visiting their relatives, and staff who work at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
In addition whilst they play our Piano Volunteers raise thousands of pounds every year for Leeds Hospitals Charity, which then goes into funding life saving equipment, research, and projects across Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
You do not have to possess any grades or professional qualifications to play the piano, however we do ask that you can play confidently to a high standard and are comfortable playing in front of an audience. You will have a chance to try out the piano and check that the environment is right for you.
